Can you believe it! The first month of 2010 is only 2 days away from being officially done. So to celebrate a very successful start to a new year we thought a little dance party was needed. Our choice of music – “Upular,” a music video for an ambient, electronic remix that samples sound clips from the popular Disney/Pixar film “Up.” – Enjoy!

Every morning as I drive to the train station I keep one hand on the wheel and the other on the horn. Some people say I have fits of road rage. I prefer to think I am just an aggressive and capable driver.
There are rarely, if ever, parking spots near the train and things start to heat up when 2 cars are racing around the corner for the same coveted spot.
I’m sure the creators of ParkShark must have had similar experiences.
ParkShark is a new parking space sharing app, designed to reduce the aggravation that comes with trying to find a parking spot in NYC. Basically, members of the ParkShark community will share their spots in real-time. All you have to do is specify the time your space will be available for other members looking for a spot in your area.

With industry buzzing around mobile, Twitter, Google and Apple, how anything else had a chance to be talked about is beyond me. Well, there was on medium that broke through the clutter in 2009 and that was Augmented Reality.
Brands around the world jumped on the augmented reality bandwagon in attempt to deliver a memorable consumer experience. Below is a list on my favorite marketing tactics that leveraged augmented reality. As cool as these example may be, we have only scratched the surface of what an augmented reality experience could be.

Trying to find something tasty to whip-up for your dinner party, or just perusing recipes to add to the collection? Well whatever the reason, try Bing….the search engine now provides detailed recipe results to strike anyone’s fancy.
Bing scrapes a number of popular recipe websites (delish.com, MyRecipes.com, epicurious.com, etc.) delivering recipes sortable by rating, cuisine, cooking method, as well as convenience, to mention a few options.
Mmmm….Skirt Steak Diablo!
How is it that a United States senate seat held by a Democrat icon for over 40 years, becomes a seat now held (as soon as he is seated that is) by a Republican? Well, many out there are debating why they think the seat’s turned Republican, and I’m sure you’ve heard many talking heads giving all their opinion and analysis. The bottom line is, Scott Brown winning this special election in Massachusetts on Tuesday has tossed a hand grenade into conventional political thinking. On top of that, this shake-up has the power to change both the direction of the current health care bill currently in conference, and the general direction and positioning of the Obama administration’s agenda. This is exactly why I love to follow politics – it’s predictable usually, but every so often an event comes along which flips all the tables over. This is one of those events!
To get a good balance of opinion and analysis of this election, go to the Real Clear Politics web site. It’s simply the best site out there for providing views from all sides of the political spectrum.
As of today, this viral vid has pulled down some serious views – 1.9MM as of noon. We were talking about Kim last night as we were headed back from LA. I’m wondering why she is so popular. I seem to remember a certain tape hitting the market not too long ago, but come on – that can’t be it? I hear she is getting $10k per tweet because she has 2,831,410 followers. I would love to see the conversion metrics on that marketing expenditure.
All that being said – she really knows how to eat a salad!

Big trip this week. The team is juiced. I think this is going to be a productive few days.
