My back hurts, I can’t walk and every muscle in my body is sore.  Oddly enough, it feels great!!  Hockeython 2009 was truly amazing.  Held this past Saturday, more than 60 players participated, tons of spectators, live music, food and memorabilia for auction from The New York Rangers, The New York Jets, The NHL and The New York Lancers  (from the team’s long well documented history) was all auctioned off for an incredible charity – The Hope and Heroes Foundation.

One note about Hockeython organizer, Gerry Borsellino – the man is amazing.  In addition to his already hectic schedule of work commitments and family obligations, Gerry dedicated the time and effort to organize this event and raise an incredible amount of money for Hope and Heroes.  His efforts are truly an inspiration.

While it was terrific to be involved, having Triumph360 as a leading corporate sponsor felt great.  Again, a big thanks to all friends and partners of Triumph360 for their contributions. 

After hours and hours of hockey The New York Lancers captured their second consecutive Hockeython Championship winning the tournament going undefeated – an added bonus to the entire evening.

This Saturday, April 25, 2009 Hockeython will kick-off at the Palisades Mall in Rockland, New York.  The youth tournament begins around 7PM and the adults take the ice at 9PM.  Triumph360, through the T360 Fund has worked to support this effort to help fight pediatric cancer.  I would like to thank all of our partners and friends that have shown support.  In this tough economy, it was really inspiring to see donations flow in.  Contributions for Hockeython ’09 will provide funding for the Hope and Heroes Foundation – a truly incredible organization. 

My team, the New York Lancers will be skating in this wonderful event that consists of games throughout the night.  At last check, the championship game will start sometime within the 4AM hour … WOW!!  The Lancers are defending champs of the tournament so we are really looking forward to getting back on the ice and competing for the championship once again.  I will be blogging from the event throughout the evening bringing updates and pics.
